You can insert new characteristics in rows or columns, adjust key figures, or set up background filters. The Pause Refresh option allows you to disable the automatic update and create a new view of your data without interruptions. This can take some time if there are a lot of values. This is because every time you change the drilldown of your crosstab, the display is updated and the values are recalculated.
